Sichuan Airlines Co. Ltd is headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, recently voted the second most liveable city in China with Chengdu’s International airport allowing easy access to wide variety of international flights.
In 2002, Sichuan Airlines formed a partnership with Sichuan Airlines Group, its principal shareholder while other shareholders include China Southern Airlines, Shandong Airlines, and Shanghai Airlines.
The Melbourne flight marked the first direct service from Western China to Australia. From there it grew to include Sydney as the airline’s third long-haul destination. Sichuan Airlines also offers short-haul flights to South Korea,Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore.
